Manufacturing Youth Apprenticeship GPSed

  • Gain valuable paid work experience with a local manufacturer. You will work 10-15 hours per week at a local company developing technical skills such as machine operation and soft skills such as problem-solving. You will also gain valuable interview and application skills. A variety of opportunities exist in machining, electronics, industrial maintenance, and basic assembly. No experience or prior coursework is required. Successful participants may be eligible for college credit at the College of DuPage and/or invited to become full-time employees. Student work hours overlap with school hours. You will be required to provide your own transportation to work.
    Prerequisites: NONE Corequisites: must also be enrolled in either a co-op course or a machining course.
