December: Veronica Dillard - Class of 1998

  • This month we shine the spotlight on Veronica Dillard from the Lake Park class of 1998. Veronica is an actor, voiceover artist, producer, and comedian along with working as an academic advisor at DePaul University. She has a Bachelors in Political Science and Sociology from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Masters in Public Affairs from the Keller Graduate School of Management.

Veronica says her greatest accomplishment since graduating from Lake Park " is saying to myself (dreaming/setting goals) of my face/name in lights on the "big screen" while making a difference in the community. I have since booked leading roles in inspirational and comedy films "See The Light" "Disconnected" and "Humanity Without A Home" which all 3 have premiered in selected Chicagoland movie theaters. I also have obtained 3 agents, 2 for voice over acting and 1 for screen acting. In addition to, my voice being heard on WVON, WSRB, and CRIS radio."

Veronica will receive the LPEF Spirit of Excellence Distinguished Alumni Award in April 2021.

Veronica is also highlighted in our monthly Lake Park Alumni Spotlight Career Video. You can also see more of Veronica's work on her YouTube Channel: Veronica Dillard.
