    The following are some websites that provide information and resources for the college search process. This is not an exhaustive list, but can help get you started:

      • Xello is Lake Park's post-secondary planning tool. We want ALL students using Xello and have lessons for each grade level. See the Xello page on this website for more information.
    • BigFuture by the College Board   
      • Flyer with additional information about BigFuture
    • Cappex 
      • A lot of great resources for college and financial aid
      • This link is a list of college who are "need blind" in the admission process
    • Collegevine
      • Discover schools, understand your chances, and get personalized guidance for every step of the admissions process.
    • Fastweb
      • College search and scholarship search website
    • ISAC Student Portal Resources
      • The Illinois Student Assistance Comission has a wide variety of college search and financial aid resources
      • Lake Park has our own ISAC representative who comes to the College & Career Center to assist students with their post-secondary planning.
    • Chicago Area Regional Representatives (CARR) 
      • CARR has many useful videos for both juniors and seniors regarding the college search process

     



  • Test-Optional information

    Many colleges are now test optional, which means you can choose whether or not to send your test scores. Here are some useful websites to help you learn which schools are test optional. Still not sure? You can always contact the college directly if you have any questions about their testing policy.
