The goal of Lake Park's English Language Learner curriculum is to provide non-native English-speaking students with the resources to develop reading, writing, listening, speaking, and academic skills to equip them with the strategies necessary for successful study in a language and culture that may differ from their own.

Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee

The Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC) is composed of bilingual parents who will meet with Lake Park staff to receive information about EL programming and resources at Lake Park. Parents will be asked for input on decisions and will participate in the planning, operation, and evaluation of the Lake Park Bilingual program.

All are welcome to join the BPAC dates below.

-September 9 - West Campus (during WC Curriculum Night)

-November 20 - East Campus (during Thanksgiving event)

-February 18 - Virtual

-May - Illinois Resource Summit
