About Us

The Social Workers and Psychologists, or SWaP, are a team of 6 individuals who serve the unique social emotional needs of all students at Lake Park High School.  There is one social worker assigned to each of the graduating classes.  These social workers start with their graduating class freshman year at East Campus and then travels with their class when they transition to West Campus for junior year.  Each of the campuses has one school psychologist to serve their students.  These psychologists stay in their assigned buildings and do not travel with graduating classes.

About Us

SWaP members serve a variety of purposes and roles within the Lake Park community.  Please review the extensive information included for both to get a better understanding of the breadth of their work.

SWaP members participate in weekly problem solving team meetings, intervene with students within the classroom, in small groups and individually.  SWaP members are also responsible for Special Education evaluations.  In addition to the work for and with all LPHS students, social workers are responsible for both IEP and 504 minutes while psychologists also serve as 504 Coordinators at each building.

Please note:  Information about specific SWaP members can be found with the Graduating Classes sections.
