May 27, 2020

  • Dear Class of 2020 Lancer Families:

Graduation Week for the Lake Park High School Class of 2020 has finally arrived and the Lancer community has much to celebrate!

TONIGHT at 7:00 p.m. - Senior Class Video Premieres
Although the annual tradition of the senior class video must also be a virtual experience, Lake Park is excited to launch the premiere of our Senior Class Video TONIGHT, Wednesday, May 27 at 7:00 p.m. Featuring photos, videos, and messages from Lancer classmates and retiring teachers, this Class of 2020 video will visually celebrate the past four years. Visit the Class of 2020 webpage to watch this highlight reel!

POSTPONED to Friday, May 29 - Class of 2020: “One Last Time”
Due to the threat of scattered thunderstorms forecasted for tomorrow, the distribution of diplomas, graduation programs and a senior gift has been postponed to Friday, May 29. Inclement weather would certainly dampen the celebratory atmosphere for this outdoor event and could cause water damage to diplomas, textbooks and equipment needed to collect student materials. Postponing until Friday ensures staff members can safely recognize our seniors on campus ‘one last time.’

Virtual Graduation Ceremony - Premieres Thursday, May 28 at 7:00 p.m.
The return to West Campus may be weather delayed, but the virtual graduation ceremony will still premiere tomorrow evening, Thursday, May 28 at 7:00 p.m. The following link can be shared with family and friends to watch and celebrate your Lancer’s achievement: https://lakepark-hsd.stageclip.com/

Thank you for your patience and flexibility throughout this unprecedented school year. We look forward to seeing our senior class virtually, but especially in person on Friday, May 29!

    With Lancer Pride,

    Dominic M. Manola, Ed.D.
