  • Celebrating the Lancer Class of 2020

Help support our seniors and "Turn the Town Blue!"

The final weeks at Lake Park High School have finally arrived for senior students and with more disruption than anyone could have anticipated. To demonstrate support for the Class of 2020 and their families as they are faced with the cancellation of prom and an in-person graduation, Lake Park has partnered with parents to promote visible ways to celebrate our seniors in true Lancer fashion.

We recognize this is a very emotional and challenging time for the entire Lancer community; we share in their sadness and sense of loss. Please join in by demonstrating your Lancer pride and help us "Turn the Town Blue!"
    • Blue Ribbons - will be distributed to seniors at cap and gown pick up to tie around trees, light poles, etc. Join in solidarity and tie blue ribbons around your trees at home!
    • Yard signs - will be distributed to seniors for display in their front yards or windows. When you see a sign, you'll know a Class of 2020 graduate lives there!
    • "I Support the Class of 2020" window signs - will be distributed to seniors to display at home. Businesses will also be displaying the signs around the communities Lake Park serves. Join in and print this ink-friendly (white) version or blue version to display on your doors and windows too!
    • Luminaries - will be lit up along driveways on Saturday, May 16 in recognition of prom.

The Class of 2020 will have a lasting legacy when a plaque is prominently installed at West Campus. This dedication will mark not only these unprecedented times but also recognize the impact to their final year that has suddenly been cut short. The entire Lancer community stands with our graduating seniors!
