April 24, 2020

  • Dear Class of 2020 Lancer Families:

The health and safety of the entire Lake Park High School community was at the forefront of our decisions announced earlier this week. We truly recognize the disappointment that comes with the news of virtual celebrations, but believe these senior moments can still be honored and remembered in meaningful ways.

Please make note of these important dates and deadlines to participate:

Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2
Distribution of caps and gowns, honors cords, 5.0 medallions, yard signs

Watch for further communication that outlines instructions about scheduled pick-up times and alpha split to allow for appropriate social distancing.

    Wednesday, May 6
Deadline to submit recognition for the virtual Scholarship and Awards program

Please complete this Google form to provide any accepted scholarships and award information to be honored during the virtual Scholarship and Awards program (May 19).

    Wednesday, May 20
Last day of remote learning for seniors

Traditional semester exams will not be administered during remote learning days.

Coming soon: Vote for senior superlatives!

Senior Class sponsors will share more information about this annual tradition.

Even though some school districts have announced new dates for events, we do not believe it is fair to our families to continuously postpone and reschedule these events all summer long. We are committed to safely recognizing seniors in as many ways possible and hope the upcoming opportunities generate excitement to celebrate your achievements.

No amount of separation can diminish the pride we feel for the Lancer Class of 2020! We look forward to you joining our community of “Lancers for Life” soon.

    With Lancer Pride,

    Lynn Panega, Ed.D.
    Superintendent
