LPEF Robotics Tournament Teams

The goal of the partnership between the LPEF and the Robotics Club is to grow the robotics program at Lake Park High School.

The Robotics group designs, builds and competes in local robotic competitions using only VEX robotics components.

Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communication, computer programing and more.

Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels and culminate at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April!

Overview of VEX Robotics

The VEX Robotics Competition, operated by the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation, is a program that inspires thousands of students worldwide to pursue STEM-related education and career paths. While there are many quality robotics competitions worldwide, the VEX Robotics user community has overwhelmingly demanded new challenges that are easy and economical to host and implement.

VEX V5 represents the fifth generation of education robotics systems developed with 20 years of experience using robotics to teach STEM principles.  V5 electronics are approachable, flexible and powerful, using state of the art technology to ensure relevant education outcomes.  The V5 mechanical system includes versatile elements that makes engineering approachable for novice users, while still providing experienced users with endless design possibilities.  VEX allows students to hone critical computational thinking skills needed to succeed in both the 21st century's workforce and in everyday life.
