ACTIVITIES

 

Lancer Nation!  This is a reminder to pick up your Sky Zone forms in the main office and Guest Dance Forms in the activities' office.

 

 

Do you have coats, sweaters and cold weather wear that doesn't fit, or you don't wear anymore? Round them up this weekend because Youth Advocates for Change, in collaboration with the Alive Center in Schaumburg, is hosting a Coat and Warm Clothing drive for families in need. Boxes are posted in the front lobby of both campuses until the end of the month.

 

 

Join The Wishing Crane Project for our first folding event of 2025.  We will be meeting at East Campus today at 3:00, in the staff cafeteria.  See Mrs. Okada in the West Campus Library with any questions.

 

 

The Creative Writing Club meets on Monday, January 27 at 3 p.m. in room 220 at East Campus.  New members welcome.  If you have any questions, please mail West Campus English teacher Mr. Aaron Sandberg.  

 

 

Come One, Come All to see ONE ACTS! Lake Park Thespians are back with their annual fundraiser performed by your fellow Lancers. Admission is $5 per person, or you can save with the $10, 3-Day Value Pass. Shows are on Thursday, January 23rd; Friday, January 24th; and Saturday, January 25th. All performances begin at 7 pm in the East Campus Dice Auditorium. You don't want to miss them!

 

 

Attention Seniors and early Junior graduates - The Counseling Department will host the class of 2025 students and families to a "Virtual Financial Aid Application Workshop" TONIGHT, January 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Please see the email sent this week to your families for more information.  It will be spoken in English, but assistance is available in Spanish.  

 

 

Senior Seminar is canceled today during all lunch periods.  See you next week!

 

 

Reminder! Registration for the Seal of Biliteracy testing is now open. If you are in Level 3 or higher of a language here at Lake Park or are proficient in another language, consider signing up for this testing opportunity. The deadline to register for the Seal of Biliteracy is Tuesday, February 11th.

 

 

Warm up with some cocoa & candy cane care packages!  Senior Class Council will be selling cocoa mix & candy for only $1 this Thursday & Friday during lunches.

 

 

Science Olympiad will meet today after school in room 250.

 

 

Earth Club will be having a fundraiser for LA fires on Friday, January 24 during the Lancers' basketball game. Buy a ticket to donate and for a chance to win a prize. 1 ticket is $1 and 6 tickets are $5.

 

 

ATHLETICS  

 

Attention all junior and senior spring athletes. If you do not have a study hall and are interested in the optional PE exemption, forms can be picked up from the main office today.  Boys and Girls Track & Field is due back to the athletic office on Monday 1/27.
