Online Summer School Registration Now Available!

Lake Park High School is excited to offer 2020 Summer School online this year. Students enrolled in summer school will engage in learning virtually with instruction and guided practice provided remotely by Lake Park teachers. While the majority of the courses offered are for credit recovery only, Senior level classes (Consumer Education and Civics in Action) will also be offered for advancement to all grade 9-11 students. Keep in mind, class size is limited for Consumer Education and Civics in Action, and priority will be given to grade 11 students if classes meet capacity.

First semester classes will be taught online from June 15-July 2, and second semester classes will be taught online from July 13-July 30.  Students enrolled are expected to engage and be ‘present’ virtually from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Individual teachers will adjust the daily schedule to allow for a combination of direct instruction, guided practice, and individual practice. Therefore, students can only sign up for one class per semester.

To register for Lake Park’s Online Summer School, please review online summer school details and submit summer school registration by May 29 for first semester course selection. Courses are subject to cancellation based on student enrollment. During the first week of June, course confirmation will be emailed to families along with steps for making payment prior to the start of the course.

Students will need a Chromebook, laptop, or computer along with internet access in order to engage in these online courses. Please indicate on the registration form if you are in need of assistance to ensure your student has a reliable WiFi connection.

If you have any questions, email Pete Kolzow, Summer School Director, at pkolzow@lphs.org. The Lake Park staff is excited to continue learning with your student during the summer!
