A Message from the Superintendent
The purpose of this message is to announce important administrative personnel changes, effective July 1, 2019. The start of the 2019-20 school year welcomes familiar leaders to new roles and campus assignments.
Lake Park High School Principal, John Gouriotis, has requested reassignment to the role of Associate Principal at East Campus. We are grateful for John’s years of service as Principal, his deep commitment to students, active participation in campus life, and giving back to the community. Furthermore, we are fortunate to retain John’s experience as a valued administrator at Lake Park. With this change, Jessica Foster, East Campus Associate Principal, will be assigned to West Campus as Associate Principal.
During the June 24 Board of Education meeting, Board members voted unanimously to appoint Dominic Manola as Principal of Lake Park High School, effective July 1, 2019.
Since joining Lake Park High School five years ago, Dominic quickly established himself as a team member and educational leader who deeply embraces the Lancer school community and beyond. His contributions to student activities, staff professional development, and community partnerships make him uniquely qualified for this position.
With previous experience as a classroom teacher and activities director from Leyden High School, and experience as our Assistant Principal for Instructional Innovation, he understands the District’s needs and will guide Lake Park in a future forward direction.
The Board of Education and administrative team have every confidence in Dom for this critically important role. In addition to his professional experience, he brings enthusiasm and an authentic vision that will support students and staff as we navigate this transition together.
Although change can be challenging, it also represents an opportunity. The strength of our District can be measured by our people, and this internal promotion ensures continuity for the 2019-20 school year.
