Lake Park to Host Technology Summer Camp for Middle School Girls

GADgET (Girls Adventuring in Design Engineering & Technology)

This highly engaging four-day program introduces female students (grades 5-8) to the world of engineering and manufacturing through hands-on, high-tech projects. By the end of the program students will learn to apply basic engineering principles to design and build their own unique gadget using Autodesk Inventor software and a variety of tools and materials. Gadget Girls is taught by staff from Triton College's Engineering & Technology Department, and is based on their very successful GADgET (Girls Adventuring in Design Engineering & Technology) program. Camp will take place at the Innovation Center at West Campus. Creativity is definitely encouraged!
