2022 Summer School Driver Education

  • Prerequisite:
    Students must be age 15 by Monday, June 13, 2022.
    Students must reside within the Lake Park district boundaries.
    All students must have successfully passed eight (8) classes within the last two semesters.

    State Law requires that each student complete a minimum of 30 hours of classroom and
    six (6) hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.
    Any combination of absences and tardies that totals two (2) days will result in the student being
    removed from Driver Education without a refund.

  • Class Size:
    Class size will be limited to the first 56 students who register.

    Instructors are full-time driver education staff members at Lake Park High School.

  • Location:
    Summer school classes and lab will be held at
    Lake Park East Campus
    Rooms 141 and 142

  • Dates:
    Class will begin Monday, June 13, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Noon and will be completed by Friday, July 1, 2022
    (Only two make-up days, on July 11 and July 12, will be offered for any absence).
    Classes will be held: Monday through Friday throughout the entire summer school session.

  • Class Fees:
    $249.00 - Registration Fee billed. No waived fees for summer driver's education.
    A $20 permit fee is charged by the Secretary of State when each student applies for their Instruction permit; this must be payable either by check or money order.

  • Class size is limited.
    We will not accept any registration after May 13, 2022.
    Bus transportation is not offered for driver-education students. Students must find their own ride to and from school.
