VASSI MLADENOV |

Vassi has taken on the responsibility of being the Math team's
oralist. This involves learning a college-level topic in the weeks prior to the
contest. At the contest, he has 15 minutes to prepare his solutions to three questions and 10
minutes to present his solutions to a panel of judges. This is very difficult and Vassi has
proven to be an excellent oralist.

MARIA CATALANO |

Maria consistently demonstrates superior leadership skills and
musical excellence in the Senior Concert Choir and Jazz Choir. She has recently participated
in the Illinois Music Educators Association's District Jazz Honor Choir and will participate in the
Organization of American Kodaly Educators National Concert Choir. Maria is a very mature
young adult who exhibits great personal initiative, a caring attitude and impeccable
character. We look forward to all her future successes.

ANGELINA ROSE |

When Angelina found out that an ESL student and his family would be
having rice as their Thanksgiving dinner, she arranged with another student to give him and his
family a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. She sent him a card, which he still carries in his
backpack, telling him she was glad he was at Lake Park. Angelina is a quality Lancer and
deserving of this recognition. She greatly contributes to the amazing student body that we
have here at Lake Park.

Taylor has been a state swimming qualifier all four years of high school. She has been a leader on the team since her freshman year, and has missed less than five practices during her entire high school career. Taylor broke two school records this year in the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle events. She will be missed by her teammates and the coaching staff. |
