AP Scholars

Fifty-two Lake Park High School students earned recognition from the College Board for their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement Program (AP) Exams they took during their high school career.
 
The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program offers students the opportunity to take challenging college-level courses while still in high school, and to receive college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP Exams.
 
Students took AP Exams in May 2007 after completing challenging college-level courses. Many of the students are from the class of 2007 and the honors represent their achievement on AP exams throughout their high school career.
 
One student – Alexander Chen - qualified for the National AP Scholar Award by earning an average grade of 4 or higher on a 5-point scale on all AP exams taken, AND grades of 4 or higher on eight of these exams.

Twenty students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP Exams, with grades of 3 or higher.  The AP Scholars are: Heather Alderson, Michael Ashida, Tiffany Boncan, Sarah Burgos, Keith Chavez, Eric Chien, Alexandra Felber, Daniel Gnatyuk, Steven Gregor, Scott Harold, Britta Hatzold, Robert Hauschildt, Elizabeth Hutchinson, Andrew Kischner, Donovan Lamb, Carly Levan, Nathan Moritz, Peter Perakis, Tanya Prabhakar, Jarna Shah.

Fifteen students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, AND grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.  These students are Michelle Block, Joshua Cannata, Monica Czarny, Matthew DeMarco, Danielle Divenere, Mark Golden, Mahir Gosalia, Leigh Harmon, Bryan Lamb, Robert Lenisa, Olivia Maslon, Shannon Page, Elizabeth Temchuk, Alison Velazquez, Aaron Zaubi.

Seventeen students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, AND grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.  These students are Michael Aument, Stephanie Behnke, Purvik Bhesania, Laura Boeche, Alexander Chen, Matthew Cillick, Christopher Flanagan, Theresa Gasinski, James Hancock, Radu Mirea, Elizabeth Necka, Emily Noonan, Jonathan Padish, Sara Sanchez, Jack Shen, Ellen Sowa, Maureen Temchuk.
