Alumni Directory
The Lake Park Educational Foundation contracted with the Harris Publishing Company of White Plains, New York, to compile and publish a directory of LP graduates. This directory is currently in the process of being udpated. It was last updated in 1999. The directory includes four major sections: the editorial section contains information and pictures pertaining to Lake Park High School and the Educational Foundation; graduates with a confirmed address are listed in the alphabetical section by name, address, phone, occupation, and place of employment; the geographical section lists each living graduate with a confirmed address alphabetically by city, sate, and country; finally, the class year section lists each graduate alphabetically under graduating class year headings.
An important and useful by-product of the compilation and publication of the Graduate Directory was a "clean," significantly more complete, and up-to-date database of LPHS graduates.
Recently, trustees of the Educational Foundation made a "user's gift" of the Graduate Directory computer database and all directly related software to the Board of Education for use in conjunction with its educational purposes and programs.
In addition, the Foundation has presented individual copies of the Graduate Directory to the East and West Campus resources centers, to the public libraries in the communities of Bloomingdale, Hanover Park, Itasca, Roselle, and Wood Dale, and to the historical societies in Bloomingdale, Itasca, and Roselle. Also, individually embossed copies have been presented to all former and present superintendents and principals.
