Art Club is a student directed and organized club in which students are allowed to express their creative side in a safe and open environment. Students in Art Club develop project ideas, work on college portfolios and engage in critical discourse concerning art processes and methods.
The Audio Visual Club explores the fascinating world of electronic recording and projection. They assist the A/V department in setting up the school’s A/V needs. They also assist in lighting and sound for outside rentals of the east and west auditoriums.
The Earth Club raises ecological issues, participates in local public awareness programs, participates in ecological field trips, and supports the Lake Park recycling effort. It meets at both campuses and publishes its award winning newsletter, Greenpress . Earth Club meets all year and tries to make a difference in the community.
The FCCLA develops student skills in the culinary arts and consumer affairs. It is open to both boys and girls, participates in state competitions, and acts as hosts of various school activities.
The Gamers Club offers students an opportunity to pursue their interest in a variety of
interactive board games. These games range from the traditional board games to role playing
simulation games.
The Lake Park Language Clubs give students the opportunity to enrich their understanding of German, Spanish, and French culture. All three clubs meet all year and participate in after school cultural field trips. The Austausch German American exchange program is an adjunct to the language clubs and offers students the opportunity to host and then visit a student from Lake Park’s German sister school. The Austausch is offered every other year.
The French Club offers students the opportunity to enrich their understanding of French culture. The club meets all year and participates in after school cultural field trips. L'Echange , the French American exchange program, is an adjunct to the French language program and offers students the opportunity to host and visit a student from Lake Park’s French sister school, Notre Dame de St. Croix outside Paris in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France . L’E change is offered every other year.
The German Club offers students the opportunity to enrich their understanding of German culture. The club meets all year and participates in after school cultural field trips. Austausch , the German American exchange program, is an adjunct to the German language curriculum and offers students the opportunity to host and visit a student from Lake Park’s German sister school, Helene-Lange-Gymnasium in Hamburg . Austausch is offered every other year.
The Spanish Club gives students the opportunity to enrich their understanding of Spanish culture. The club meets all year and participates in after school cultural field trips.
The Psychology Club meets all year to enhance students understanding of the mind and the study of psychology. This club is open to juniors and seniors only.
