Find 10 stories that have an element of violence from newspapers around the country. You will need to scan the article to decide whether the article discusses violence. Copy and paste the headlines/sub-headlines into a word document.
From your initial list, narrow your headlines down to two where you can figure out the motivation behind the crime.
Read those two articles and write a short paragraph summarizing the articles. Be sure to include the crime and the motivation behind the crime.
Be prepared to talk about one of your articles in depth during your discourse assignment next week. You will be discussing question “Why is our society violent?” using one of your articles as a specific example.
