You will probably have the most success if you search for a columnist on a newspaper's website. You can go to Google, type in the city name and newspaper (i.e. Chicago newspaper) and you will get results. You can use one of the links below to some of the larger newspapers. Once you are on a newspaper's site, look for the Opinions section, the Editoral Section, Op/Ed section, Columnists, etc. Different papers may use different terms for the same thing!
Once you find a columnist, you can use
EBSCO Host Newspaper Source Plus to access articles that were published past
this week. You will need a username and password to access this from home.
Be sure to click full text, and you will need to limit your
dates. In the search box, type AU then the name to search for the author. For example
for Maureen Dowd, you would type "AU Maureen Dowd" in the search box. If you are not
successful, try just the last name.
