College View --Site allows one to search for colleges, scholarships and financial aid. Also provides links to college web pages and on-line applications.
National Association for College Admission Counseling --Here, one will find helpful information for both parents and students. Links to other sites include college web sites, financial aid, and special interest sites.
Princeton Review --Offers college searches, test prep for ACT, SAT, financial aid information, and useful advice.
Peterson's Education Center -- Find useful college search, financial aid tips, on-line applications and test preperation information.
Universities on the Web --Contains links to over 3,000 colleges and universities, including both 2-year and 4-year schools.

FAFSA on the Web --All college-bound students should apply for financial aid using this form. FAFSA on the web contains the electronic application utilized by all colleges and universities throughout the country.
fastWEB --Contains a free scholarship search database. This site will save a student's profile and e-mail new scholarships to their mail box on-line.
Federal Trade Commission --Site provides information on what to look out for in regards to scholarship scams.
The Financial Aid Information page --Quality page of links to many financial aid sites, including scholarships, loans, and scam alerts.<
Go College --This website provides college and scholarship searches as well as practice ACT and SAT tests.
Illinois Student Assistance Commission --Our state's own valuable resource for students and parents to remain up-to-date as to the latest financial aid news and changes; students can also do scholarship searches. Excellent links also.
Sallie Mae --A comprehensive on-line resource for planning and paying for college. The various areas will provide answers to many of your questions, including scholarship scams, finding the right college, loans, etc.

Test Preparation

ACT --Contains test preparation for the ACT - free test questions and review. Software can also be purchased from this site.
SAT --Site offers sample SAT questions. One can take a mini-SAT to analyze strengths and weaknesses. Software can also be purchased from this site.
College Power Prep --SAT and ACT test preparation, including “an ACT/SAT tip a day”. Free software for review programs.  This is an excellent resource to review and prepare for college entrance exams.
