ACT/PLAN Test Results distributed to Sophomore Parents
Dear Parent(s) / Guardian(s)of students of the Class of 2010:
On Monday, March 10, 2008, you are invited to attend a special program where the ACT PLAN test results will be distributed and explained. The ACT PLAN Test, administered to all our sophomores in October, provides information that assists students in preparing for future academic and career success. It can also be a predictor of future ACT success. Junior year the students will take the ACT as part of the Prairie State Examination required by state law.
The PLAN Test Interpretation Program will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the East Campus
Auditorium. At this program, representatives from the Counseling Department will
provide: 1) individual student results;
2) an overview of the PLAN Test; and,
3) a discussion of the relationship between the PLAN Test and the ACT Assessment taken in the
junior year. Our program will also feature April Hansen, director of undergraduate admissions
at Loyola University who will discuss the criteria for general college admissions.
We hope you will be able to attend this important informational program. After March 10th, we will send home result packets to those families who did not attend.
