"Little Lancers" Preschool

The Family and Consumer Science department at Lake Park High School is once again enrolling "Little Lancers" in the Lancer Preschool. This program begins in January each year and concludes in May with "graduation."

Preschool meets on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the West Campus preschool lab (room 150).

Lancer preschool is designed for children ages 3 and 4 who are toilet trained and ready to experience an intimate and enriching preschool environment. The young students work very closely with their high school "teachers" and develop one-on-one relationships with them.

The high school teachers are students who are potentially interested in careers related to child development and have each completed the Child Development course prerequisite. Teachers prepare daily lesson plans that not only provide opportunities for the Little Lancers to develop socially, but also to enhance their kindergarten readiness skills.

The Lancer Preschool program offers a truly excellent experience for both our big and small students. Enrollment is limited.  If you would like more information regarding Lancer Preschool, please contact Mrs. Lynne Benson at 630-295-5363 or lbenson@lphs.org.
